Inside are the A20 Pro chip and the first dual battery in an iPhone; it is eSIM-only. Korean pricing runs from ₩3.29M (256GB) to ₩5.09M (2TB) (Inven Global). Why it matters · The most expensive iPhone ever. US reports say first-day preorders used up stock through year-end, so expect launch-day units in Korea to go fast too.

Drop 2 · AI & Big Tech — Google opens Gemini 4 Argon to developers and paid subscribers Wider release Google's top model, first shared only with security partners in late September, has been available since Oct. 13 through the Gemini API and AI Studio, and to AI Pro and Ultra subscribers in the Gemini app and Search's AI Mode. Launch pricing runs through Nov. 30 (Let's Data Science). Why it matters · The race for high-end coding and research models is heating up again. Developers may want to try it while launch pricing lasts.

Drop 3 · New Music — NMIXX drops 6th mini album 'Strange Muse' tonight at 6PM KST Today 6PM KST Six tracks: 'Kerosene' and 'RudE TaLK', plus the group's first three unit songs, each sung by a pair of members. The title track '긴 소원' ("Long Wish") is a romantic song built around a birthday-party concept (Star News). Why it matters · The first unit songs since debut, so you get to hear each member's color on its own.

Drop 4 · Expos — The year's last big startup fair, COEX Hall C, Oct. 22–24 10.22 – 24 The 61st IFS Franchise Startup & Industry Expo, 530 booths, with a solo-founder pavilion, a hall of store tools such as kiosks and smart ordering, and an overseas-expansion consulting zone. Entry is ₩15,000 at the door, or ₩5,000 with online pre-registration until midnight Oct. 21 (Hankyung). Why it matters · This year's theme is tools that let one person run a store. Thinking of starting a business? Pre-register first.

Drop 5 · Expos — Seoul International Stationery & Office Products Fair, COEX Hall B1, Oct. 22–24 10.22 – 24 Korea's flagship stationery show, now in its 37th year. The same week COEX also hosts the Korea Eco-Friendly Expo in Hall A and a home care, rehab and welfare show in Hall D (both Oct. 21–23) (COEX schedule). Why it matters · A good week to see three shows in one trip. Oct. 22–23 is when all three overlap.

Drop 6 · Art — Last call this Sunday (Oct. 25): Yoo Youngkuk at the Seoul Museum of Art Ends 10.25 The show of mountain paintings by Yoo Youngkuk, a first-generation Korean abstract painter, has run since May and closes this week. Also on now: Do Ho Suh's solo show at MMCA Seoul (through Feb. 9) and Wayne Thiebaud at DDP (through Feb. 21) (Brunch). Why it matters · He painted mountains with nothing but color and flat planes. If you paint, catch it before it closes.

Drop 7 · AI & Big Tech — OLED MacBook Pro and iPad mini rumored for Oct. 27 Rumored 10.27 After the iPhone Duo, reports say a touchscreen OLED MacBook Pro and an OLED iPad mini could arrive next Tuesday (Oct. 27), with a media event set for Oct. 28. Apple has not announced anything yet (MacRumors). Why it matters · Thinking about a new MacBook? Wait one more week.
